has declared a national state of emergency and tightened borders
after at least 129 people were killed in a night of gun and bomb
attacks in Paris. Eighty people were reported killed after gunmen
burst into the Bataclan concert hall. People were shot dead at
restaurants and bars at five other sites in Paris. At least 180
people were injured. ISIS claimed responsibility for the horrific
Paris attacks, for which France vowed revenge.

The
government has advanced the deadline for making 52.5 lakh people
digitally literate, under National Digital Literacy Mission, by a
year to 2016 than end of 2017 fixed earlier.
The
Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) or National Digital Literacy
Mission (NDLM) Scheme has been formulated to impart IT training to
52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and
authorised ration dealers in all states/UTs across the country so
that the non-IT literate citizens are trained to become IT literate.
